The agency we built for Northern Illinois families started with a decision about our own.
The Moment It Became Personal
Sergey Yakovlev and Natalia Horbach had spent years leading home-care operations. Then their own parents began to need care at home, and the work became personal. On the other side of the desk, they felt what so many sons and daughters feel—the worry of watching a parent lose independence, the unease of opening a home to a stranger, and a fierce wish to protect a parent's dignity and comfort.
Seeing the Industry Through Family Eyes
Looking at the home-care industry through the eyes of concerned adult children, Sergey and Natalia saw the challenges many families face—caregiver turnover, inconsistent care, and a lack of personal connection. They believed their parents—and every family they serve—deserved something better: dependable, compassionate care built on trust, consistency, and genuine relationships.
Building the Agency They Wanted for Their Own Parents
So Sergey and Natalia set out to build the kind of agency they wanted for their own mothers and fathers. In 2018, European Service LLC was established around a simple philosophy: "Quality First."
Licensed and Welcoming Our First Family
In April 2019, the agency earned its Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) license and welcomed its first private-pay client.

We are small on purpose. Our leadership stays closely involved in caregiver selection, family-to-caregiver matching, and ongoing supervision, ensuring that no family ever feels like a file number.
About Our Name
One of our founders, Sergey Yakovlev, also founded European Service at Home, Inc., which is where our name comes from. European Service LLC is a separate company, with its own license, offices, caregivers, and care team.

Every plan starts with an in-home assessment and is built around your family's needs.
Reachable When You Need Us
Our offices are open Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Once care begins, you'll have a number you can call any time, day or night.
Personally Matched
We hand-select the caregiver for each family, and private-pay families may also choose to meet candidates first.
Leadership Involvement
Our founders stay personally involved in caregiver selection and matching, so the people who decide are the people who know you.
