The girls working there helped us with homecare services for my aunt and they consulted us throughout the process of her getting approved. Common Questions

In-Home Care FAQ

What does In-Home Care include?
Help with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, light housekeeping, medication reminders, meal preparation, and assistance outside the home. Every care plan is personalized after an in-home assessment.
Can care be covered at no cost?
Eligible seniors enrolled in Medicaid may receive In-Home Services at no cost, based on eligibility and assessed need. An assessment determines eligibility and how many hours are approved. Our team will explain the process in plain words and help you through it.
Can we start with private pay?
Yes. We can usually begin care within 48 hours, or later if you'd like to meet your caregiver first. Many families start with private pay while they explore other coverage.
Is In-Home Care medical care?
No. In-Home Care is non-medical support with daily living. Caregivers provide medication reminders but do not perform medical tasks.
Will we meet the caregiver before care begins?
We hand-select the caregiver for each family. Private-pay families may also choose to meet candidates before care begins, and that choice is entirely yours. If a match isn't the right fit, our care coordinator will work promptly to find a more suitable caregiver.
What happens in a medical emergency?
In a medical emergency, caregivers are instructed to call 911 or activate the client's emergency alert system, remain with the client as appropriate, and promptly notify the designated family contact and our care team.
