Is It Time for Personal Care?
If you've noticed any of the following, a conversation with our care team can bring clarity and relief.
- Showering or bathing alone has become unsafe
- Missed medications or mix-ups about when to take them
- Noticeable decline in personal hygiene or grooming
- Increased risk of falls getting in or out of bed
- You feel stretched too thin to help safely yourself
- Recent hospital discharge with new mobility needs
What Personal Care Looks Like Day to Day
A personal care visit is built around your loved one’s routine, not ours. A morning visit might start with help getting out of bed safely, a warm shower or sponge bath, and help choosing clothes and getting dressed. The caregiver then helps with grooming, from brushing hair to shaving, and makes sure breakfast and medication reminders happen on time.
Before leaving, the caregiver tidies the bathroom and bedroom and lets our care team know about any change they notice. Your loved one does as much as they can for themselves, and the caregiver steps in only where help is needed. That balance protects safety and dignity at the same time.
Getting Started with Personal Care
Starting personal care is simpler than most families expect. Here’s what happens after you reach out.
Tell us what’s happening
Call your local office or request a free care assessment online. We’ll ask about your loved one, their routine, and what has become hard to manage.
Free in-home assessment
A care coordinator visits, listens, and looks at the home for safety. Together, we write a personalized care plan for bathing, dressing, grooming, and anything else your family needs.
A carefully matched caregiver
We choose a carefully selected caregiver based on needs, personality, and language. Meeting your caregiver first is always your choice.
Care starts, and we stay close
Paying privately? We can usually begin care within 48 hours, or later if you’d like to meet your caregiver first. Once care begins, you’ll have a number you can call any time, day or night.
Ways to Pay for Personal Care
Many families combine these options. We'll walk you through what applies to your situation.

I got showering service for my father and their employee Alex was wonderful with my father and my father liked him alot. I was nervous about using the new online agency model and highly recommend this agency."
Personal Care Questions, Answered
Will the same caregiver come to every visit?
We work to keep the same caregiver on your loved one’s schedule, because trust grows with familiarity. We carefully match caregivers based on each client’s needs and preferences. If a match isn’t the right fit, our care coordinator will work promptly to find a more suitable caregiver.
Can caregivers help with medications?
Caregivers provide medication reminders, so doses aren’t missed or doubled up. They don’t give or manage medications or provide medical care, because our services are non-medical.
How do caregivers protect privacy during bathing?
Caregivers follow your loved one’s preferences: what time of day, how much help feels comfortable, and how each step is done. They explain what they’re doing and let your loved one do what they can on their own. Our leadership stays closely involved in caregiver selection, matching, and supervision.
What if my parent refuses help with bathing?
It happens, and it’s usually about fear, pride, or feeling cold. Caregivers slow down, offer choices like a different time of day or a sponge bath instead of a shower, and build trust over a few visits. We’ll ask you what has worked before.
